The Starter’s Guide to Wearing Makeup!

Go to the drugstore with someone you know who wears makeup and whose makeup you like. Although it might seem overwhelming, you’ll really only need about three things.

You’ll want to go for the natural look since you’re just starting out. First, pick out a lip gloss that you like. You can go for a light pink color with a little bit of shine. Here are some good options that you’re sure to see:

For your eyes, look for a mascara with a thin brush. Both of these are good brands to start out with! To apply, start the brush at the base of your lashes and wiggle the brush back and forth. You’ll only need to go over your lashes once; a little goes a long way!

Find a blush with a pink/red tone to apply to your cheekbones. Some blushes will come with a small brush, so look for one that has it included!

Lastly, don’t forget to use makeup remover! The easiest way is to get makeup remover pads that you can use to wipe off your makeup. It’s important that you always take your makeup off at the end of the day!
