Dear best friend, I <3 you because…

1. You’re always there for me.

Whether we see each other every day or twice a year, I know that you’re always here for me when I need it. You’re the first person I call when I need advice, a laugh, or a shoulder to cry on.

2. You support me no matter what.

You may sometimes disagree with me or my decisions, but at the end of the day, I know you’re always supportive.

3. You don’t get jealous.

You know that our bond is unbreakable, and you don’t get jealous when I spend time with other friends.

4. You love me for me.

You never try to change who I am, or what I like, or how I act. You love me for me, which makes me love me more too!

5. You get along with my family as if they were your own.

You feel comfortable around my parents, and they love you like their own. You’ve got an extra toothbrush at my house, and always know where the silverware is. You treat my parents like your own, and love them just as much as you love me.

6. You know how to listen.

Sometimes I don’t need advice or a lecture, I just need to talk about my problems to someone who listens. You’re that person. You sit with when when I speak, you follow all stories, and you wait for me to finish before you respond. I always feel like you hear me, never that you’re just waiting for your turn to talk.

7. You always have my back.

If someone is saying bad thing about me, I can always trust you to have my back.

8. You’ve seen me at my worst, and you still love me.

I don’t know how you do it, but you still love me even during the worst of times.

9.We rarely fight.

And when we do, we always say sorry, learn from it, and move on. Even during the times we’ve been reallyyyy mad at each other, we’ve always been able to get over it. You never give up on me and I never give up on you.

10. Somehow all our old inside joke are still hilarious.

I know I can always and forever count on you for a good laugh, no matter how silly we may look to people who just don’t get it.
