Hey there FP girls! Today for our summer crafts series we’re going to look at some chic ways to refashion your old T-shirts. Sometimes I find that I have way too many old shirts that I don’t wear, and you can either get rid of them or let the fashionista in you shine. These DIY styles are an awesome activity to feel like you went shopping in your own closet!

DIY: Refashion Old Tees!

Homemade Splatter Bleach T-Shirt

You’ll need:

• bleach
• disposable foam brush
• a glass

Find an old t-shirt or tank top. Before you start, take your supplies outside or to an area where the bleach can’t get everywhere. Start splattering the shirt by dipping your brush in the bleach. You can splatter it in any direction you want, and keep splattering until you get your desired effect.

DIY Racerback Tee with a braided back

This one is a personal fav! Take an old t-shirt or tank and cut the sleeves, neck, and back into a racerback. Then, cut a straight line across the collar in the back like this:

Divide the back of the shirt into three sections and braid them together:

You’ll need to hand-stitch the braid to the top collar for the finished product!

Crop-top Tee

For this next one, all you’ll need is an old t-shirt and a pair of scissors.

Cut along the hem of the sleeves to make the shirt into a tank top. Then, cut off the hem of the collar. Depending on how short you want your shirt to be, cut a straight line through the back side of the shirt.

The front side of the shirt will be used to make your ties. On each side, cut until the center, and then cut down in a diagonal direction.

Same shirt but with a whole new style! Bottom line is, there is no need to go shopping just yet. See what you can do with some of your old things!
