It’s football season and we’ve had the NFL on our minds a lot lately because of our new NFL Fashion Game and our coinciding NFL Design Challenge! So when we read this article by Houston Texas running back Arian Foster, we wanted to share with you what he is teaching his adorable 4-year-old daughter! Aside from being a three-time Pro Bowl running back, it appears that his greatest gig is being a terrific father!

Among the most important of what he is teaching Zeniah, here are a few of the things that are on Arian’s list:

Happiness: I believe strongly that smiles are contagious, so I fill my home with as much laughter as possible…

The value of a dollar: … when my parents wanted to spoil us, we’d go to Blockbuster to pick out a movie and have family movie night.

Know your why: … Find your passion, and fall in love with your why.

Kindness: Treat everyone with kindness. It goes a long way. I was taught that people will rarely remember what you tell them, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

My favorites on this list are to keep happiness in the household and to always treat everyone, no matter who you meet, with kindness. You never know what kind of day a person is having or what difference you can make by offering a kind smile to a person who might be having a hard day. Every person has his own personal struggles, and a little kindness can go a long way.

Want to add to this list? What lessons are you teaching your daughters? Share in the comments.
