She’s trendy, she’s confident, she’s talented. And the FPgirls love her. She’s Zendaya, and if you’ve got a tween daughter, you’ve heard her name mentioned and you may have even heard her music played in your house! She’s got her own self-titled album, she’s one of the starring actresses on Disney’s Shake it Up, and she’s also been a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

Why we love her here at FPgirl? She’s a great role model for our tweens. In a poll where we asked, “What Celeb Would You TOTALLY Want to be Friends With?” nearly 8,000 FPgirl members answered and Zendaya ranked second place, just slightly behind Taylor Swift! Zendaya also loves football and rocks it in NFL gear for girls — she can show her soft and floral side and then get ready for some football too! We love that in a role model!

On top of ALL that, Zendaya’s recently written a book specifically for tweens! Between U and Me: How to Rock Your Tween Years with Style and Confidence is a book about fashion, friendship and following your dreams. Zendaya was inspired to write the book after receiving questions from some of her 3 million fans! The book includes answers to some of these questions and also has photos of Zendaya and her friends and family, and personal drawings throughout. If you’ve got a daughter who is already inspired by the talented Zendaya, she’ll love this book that will give her a personal glimpse into Zendaya’s busy life.

Zendaya’s so talented and we can’t wait to see what else she has to show us! If you haven’t checked out the Style Mag, here’s a glimpse of all the great posts we’ve shared with your tweens about Zendaya so far!
