But who’s to say your originality and creativeness has to stop there? Whether or not it’s a matching FashionPlaytes headband or belt, adding fun and interesting accessories assures that any outfit is complete! So, why not try some of these easy do-it-yourself crafts at home! After you’re done, everyone at school will want to know where to get one too!

1. The Unique Safety Pin Bracelet
Materials: 50-70 Silver Safety Pins (all one size), A Plate or Bowl, Stretch Jewelry Cord, Assorted Glass/Ceramic Beads

Instructions:
1. Empty beads onto the plate. One by one, open each safety pin & thread beads on the prong in your desired color pattern. Make sure to leave room to be able to close the pin.
2. Cut two 12” pieces of jewelry cord. Tie a big knot on the end of each string.
3. String the first cord through the top hole of the finished safety pin. Then, string the same cord through the bottom hole of the next finished safety pin. Continue alternating until desired length.
4. String the second cord through the opposite holes of each safety pin, making sure to follow the same order when the first cord was strung.
5. To finish, tie both cords securely around the original knots for a completely unique accessory!

2. The Natural Rock Necklace
Materials: A Small Rock, Colored Wire (22-Gauge), Needle-nosed Pliers, Scissors, Leather Cord or Ribbon
Instructions:
1. Position the stone at the center of the 15-18” piece of wire and begin to wrap it around, alternating to create a design of your choice.
2. After wrapping the wire, twist the ends together. Create a secure loop.
3. Use pliers to cut away any excess wire.
4. Thread a piece of cord (to your desired length) through the loop!

3. The Glitter Glam Hair Clips
Materials: Hair Clips (new or old that snap) or Bobby Pins, Bright Colored & Clear Nail Polish, Glitter, Craft Glue, Buttons or Assorted Charms, Newspaper
Instructions:
1. Place newspaper over your workspace to prevent a mess.
2. Begin by painting hair clips with a bright colored nail polish.
3. Sprinkle glitter onto the clip before the nail polish dries.
4. After, paint a coat of clear polish to keep the glitter in place.
5. If desired, glue on a charm or button on the end of the clip for more glam!
