Happy Universal Holidays! Ho-Ho-Ho! Little Dradel, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza! And if you live in the Boston area, we finally got snow today and it is just spectacular! I have been wanting it to snow for such a long time and it finally has. There is snow everywhere and it is glorious! I am so excited for Christmas morning and presents and family and treats and stockings and Santa and blah, blah, and blah. There is so much that I love!*
You might ask… “What does a fashion blogger want for Christmas?” That would be an excellent question. You see, I do many things other than being a blogger. I model, dance, act, design fashion lines, bake, cook, sing, hang with friends by going sailing and going to the beach during the summer and have hot coca and watch movies in the winter! There are so many things that I do and that adds up to the list of things I want for Christmas. For example, I would like the new Wii game Just Dance 2! because I love to dance and listen to music - perfect combo. I would also like my own new sewing machine from Santa, to start my own clothing line! Things not so expensive: I would like cooking/baking utensils, American Girl stuff, clothes, etc. BUT, the thing I really want most is for my family & friends to buy mosquito nets & other things that help prevent diseases in Africa and any other country that is not as fortunate as us, to be given in my name. That is my favorite gift of all!

What are the holidays all about? Family, giving, & friends. What I would like to do in this blog is remind people to be THANKFUL this holiday season. Being thankful is really important to me because my family and friends do so much for me. My mom always drives me around to where I need to go, my dad always has patience with me, and my brother is always so caring. I love them so much and I feel like I can never repay them. Also, thanks to my best girl friend, Nel Decker-Gavin, who is always so sweet and loving. And to my best friend that is a boy, Sam Russo, who makes me laugh every time I look at him. Love You Guys! (Figuratively speaking!) I would also like to say my last “thank you” to all of my other friends who go with me to Canobie Lake Park, the pool, the beach, rock climbing, etc.

Now, what are some of your family holiday traditions? My family eats Chinese food every Christmas Eve. It all started way back when my dad was a kid: My grandmother was tired of cooking two huge meals in the course of two days. So, she put her fist down and said “We are going out for Chinese food! I cannot handle this anymore!” That is the story. At least, that is the way dad tells it. We have stuck to that tradition ever since. Share your holiday traditions with me by leaving a comment and I will choose a couple and post them on my next time on my blog!
That is all I have for now. Happy Universal Holidays everyone!

Parker! I simply HAD to comment on this post. I love how mature you are by wanting to help others before yourself - you’re an amazing example for everyone in this world. Also: my family has a similar tradition of eating Chinese food - except we do it on New Years Eve (not Christmas Eve)! Long noodles for a long life & pork spareribs for good luck!
Thanks again for writing!
Parker,
I really like reading your blog because it has a variety of topics and makes me smile. Your Christmas-Eve-Chinese-food-eating-tradition is funny, and it’s helpful to know how it all began with your dad’s mother years ago. Hopefully you will do it with your family for generations to come! Being reminded to be thankful, gracious, and to show the ones you love that you care over the holidays is a nice message to be reminded of.
Thanks for blogging and keep up the good work!
Love,
Miss Pettrone
