Meet the New Idol Judges :)
Ah! It’s another season of American Idol - the 10th one to be exact! Woo! Personally, I L.O.V.E. the first handful of episodes highlighting the first round of auditions around the country. They’re great because about 80% of the auditions they show on TV are absolutely horrible, sometimes embarrassing to watch (I even find myself cringing for the unfortunate individual singing out of tune) BUT always entertaining!
Besides the crazy acts, I do think Idol does a great job highlighting the heartfelt stories of young adults following their dreams. It just goes to show that it’s great to be in a country where you’re encouraged to do what you love and never stop believing in yourself! Way to go American Idol for encouraging this line of thinking! If touchy-feely stories aren’t for you, then here’s another reason to tune in! There are 2 new judges! We’ll definitely miss Paula’s sweet support & Simon’s incredibly harsh comments, but with two totally new faces, this season is not to be missed. Here’s a little more info on the new additions:
STEVEN TYLER! This guy is the amazing lead singer of the band Aerosmith, who has sold over 100 million records & has even won many different awards, including Grammys, American Music Awards, Billboard Awards & MTV Awards. His band Aerosmith is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & is known for their hits like “Dream On,” “Walk This Way,” “Sweet Emotion,” & “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.”
JENNIFER LOPEZ! This beautiful singer/actress/producer first started out in the music business selling over 55 million records. She transferred into the movie biz starring movies like “Anaconda”, “Maid In Manhattan”, “Monster-In-Law” and “The Wedding Planner.” She’s happily married to Marc Anthony & with her super sweet personality, she’ll add a friendly & supportive vibe to the show just like Paula did!
Overall, I personally can’t wait for the next week or so. These auditions will be great. And so far, I really like the new judges: they’re fun, entertaining, and are straight to the point. So grab your family, a bowl of popcorn & enjoy the show. Then share with us! What do you think of the show? Was it a good idea to bring in some new faces? What did you think about the auditions - both good & bad? Leave a comment & tell us your favorite ones!
