Ponytails - Pros

  • Hello, variety. You’ve got top-of-your head ponies, low ponies, side ponies, double pony tails (one on each side – so cute!!), plus partial ponytails. From there, you can braid, curl, color, and add bling. Like we said: hello, variety – there are so many ways to wear this look.

  • Easy, peasy. Seriously, there’s nothing easier than creating a ponytail…with dry OR wet hair. We love that!

Ponytails - Cons

  • Ponytails tend to be more casual. This doesn’t mean you can’t rock a formal ponytail for a dressier occasion, but that can take a little more work and hair styling.

  • Only works with longer hair. Sorry all you, short-haired cuties!

Buns - Pros

  • Hello, sophisticated, cute, and fun. Depending on how you wear it, you can instantly communicate a vibe. A bun on the top of the head is cute and fun. A bun at the base of the neck with slicked back hair is perfect for formal, dressier occasions.

  • Who says a “mess” is a bad thing? Messy buns are quite fashionable and provide another fun look.

Buns – Cons

  • Requires more work and accessories, like bobby pins.

  • If your hair is super long, creating a bun can be tough!
