We love sharing stories of girls doing AWESOME things, and Winter Vinecki’s story fits the bill! Winter took part in her first triathlon when she was only five. From there, she fell in love with running and racing.

One of her biggest fans was her dad. Sadly, though, she lost him to prostate cancer when she was only nine years old. But Winter didn’t let that sadness stop her. She started a non-profit organization called TeamWinter that has raised over $400,000 for prostate cancer research.

Plus! Winter’s goal right now is to set a world record this year by being the youngest person to run a marathon on all seven continents (she’s only 14). And, of course, she’s doing it all in her dad’s memory. Cool, huh?

You can watch a video of Winter in action below. Or you can read an article she wrote here.
