I got a lot of encouragement to post more (thank you!!!), and I will continue my true beauty series, but for now I want to show you the fashion outfit I just created. :)
To create a look like this, you can search for pictures of clothing and fashion online (be sure to check in with your parents first!) and piece the pictures together to create your own look book to gather inspiration for your shopping sprees or fashion designs!

For this outfit, I got inspiration from a picture of a flowy blue skirt. I’m excited for spring, and I decided that it looked like a perfect skirt to wear in the sunny seasons, so I decided to make a cool, fun, and bright look. Then I searched for a belted white top and came across this beautiful white shirt tied with a bow. It looked so cool and light that I knew it would be perfect for spring. Next, I decided that I needed to add a little bit of bright and sunny color to accent the plain white tunic. I searched for yellow rose studs, and added them to the picture. I realized that I was only using solid colors for the outfit, so I decided to add leopard print flats to jazz it up a bit. These flats match it perfectly, since they have bows and the colors blue and white! I also incorporated more patterns by adding black lace tights. (you can wear the outfit with or without the tights) Because the white tunic was still looking plain, I searched for an owl necklace. (P.S. You can find this necklace at Claire’s!) The outfit was looking too matchy, so I added an adorable, flashy neon green purse. Since I wanted to go with a fresh, young, girly look, I added nude lipstick, polka-dotted nails, polka-dotted glasses (Yup, I love polka dots xD), and zipper bracelets. I decided to give the white blouse a more edgy look by adding a blue peter pan collar. Finally, I added a simple, knotted pony-tail.

Now I definitely know what to look for next time I go shopping! I love this look! I hope it will help you know what to look for too.

DIY side knotted ponytail:

1) gather all your hair to one side of your face
2) separate your hair into 2 sections
3) twist the sections around to form a loop, and pull one section through the loop.
4) twist the sections around the other way to form another loop, and pull the other section through the loop.
5) secure with an elastic

HINT: Pull out a few strands of naturally highlighted hair from the pony tail, curl them, and leave them hanging to frame your face!

Hope this helps! I had a lot of fun making this DIY. :)
