Empowerment is a pretty popular topic right now, FPgirls! Have you heard of it? It means giving someone power so they’re able to have more control over something for themselves. If you’re empowered, you feel like you really have the ability to do something!

I will tell you about a time I empowered someone. I don’t know if this is exactly it, but there was this girl in my class who was having troubles. In school, at home, with family, with friends, with money, with healthiness - and I felt super bad for her. I couldn’t exactly help her with her home, family, money, and healthiness - but I could help her with school and friends. I knew school was going to be easy to help her with because I’m a pretty smart girl - not bragging - but I am. I wanted to set up a tutoring session but I thought that might embarrass her, so I asked my teacher if I could move over to her table. She knew that girl was having lots of troubles, and she knew I was smart. So, because I wanted her to succeed, I starting going through the problems with her and explaining them to her on sticky notes while the teacher was talking. And she gave me permission to pass notes. Soon, she was super great at all the subjects but math. That’s when I told her to go up and ask the teacher if she could email her mom about a special tutoring with math, because she had extra troubles with numbers.
When it came to her friends, who ditched her and started bullying her, I sat with her at lunch. One day, when the girl was very sick with the flu, I sat at the table with her friends and gave them a pep talk. I was very close with those girls, too, so they agreed to be nice to her but STILL wouldn’t play with her. So, adults got involved and blah blah blah blah blah. Meetings and such. Then it was fixed. And I gave her some money for a lunch :). Now she’s homeschooled, but she’s still my friend. And that’s when I empowered somebody.

I’m sorry people have been criticizing your love of 1D……….I personally am not a fan if them, but it doesn’t mean I think you’re weird, or anything!
I say this: love what you love- it doesn’t matter what others think or say about you…….keep loving what you love. And don’t get shaken by others opinions.
hope this helped you…….

You-Know-What of the day:
Health experts recommend that we exercise 60 min. or 1 hr. a day. Some kids in the U.S. don’t follow that rule. So they tend to get chubby. They also don’t follow that rule because they are distracted by the T.V. and computer. That is also bad for you’re vision and focus.
