On Tuesday we asked about your New Years resolutions and you had some really great ideas!! But can you remember to work on them ALL year? That’s hard! Here are some tips that can help you stick with it.

Focus and  be specific. You are empowered to achieve a really big goal –it takes focus and some strategy –but you can do it!

Break it up: Split a  goal into smaller parts to make it easier! If your bigger goal is to be able to run a 5K (3.1 miles) by the end of the year, your smaller goals could be to run a half  mile by the end of winter, a mile by the end of spring,  2 miles by the end of fall, and  3 miles by the end of the year!

Mix it up. If you tend to get bored with things easily, switch goals! Try a new goal  every month, or every school semester. Then at the end of the year you’ll have reached a bunch of goals!

Have a “reset button”. It’s easy to sort of forget about your resolutions after a while. Mark dates to remind yourself, put a reminder on your mirror or notebook, or have an accountability buddy to make sure you’re both sticking with your goals  If you tell someone your goal, you are more likely to achieve it so share your goal with a family member or friend.
