What’s the Difference Between Lipstick, Lip Balm & Lip Gloss?? OK, FPgirl…it’s time to get some definitions straight!
Lipstick: This is the stuff you probably have to wait until you’re older to wear! Lipstick typically has COLOR. Think bright cherry red, neon pink, and even wilder colors like blue and black.
Lip gloss: As the name suggests, it’s smooth, silky, shiny…um, GLOSSY! Some lip gloss is clear, others have hints of color, and some come in different flavors. YUM!
Lip balm: From ChapStick to Burt’s Bees, this is the stuff most of you are probably familiar with and allowed to wear. It moisturizes your lips (no one likes dry, cracked lips—ouch!). Lip balm doesn’t typically have much color, but you can find different flavors.

thank you for having this post everyone says those are the same but they totally arent. i like lip gloss because it is glossy it has color but not to much AND it mosterizes your lips!
I LUV Lipgloss!!! And I like Lipbalm! I don’t wear makeup (lipstick). I Luv Baby Lips and BonBon Lipgloss and Glossaholic Lipgloss and Lots more! I have 8 Baby Lips (I think) a lot of BonBons (I cant remember how many) and 2 Glossaholics! All in all I have over 30 Lipglosses and Balms!

i did a science fair project and it shows that burts bees is really bad for your lips and or skin!

I Looove how lip gloss looks but I think that it comes off too often for some ocasions. I also think that Lip blam is great for some ocasions but mabye not dressy enough for others.

I love them all! Its more of a close draw between lip stick and lip gloss. I love how you can find ones that give you a little color to your lips. I probably would choose lip gloss if I had to pick a favorite one.
I use Burt Bees, Which Btw, You can get in different colors, I prefer the mint one.
Hmm.. What I like to do is wear light nude lipstick ( I wear ” In The Nude ” lipstick from Essence, great brand btw!
), With a either nude lipgloss, clear, or if its a speacal occasion, clear sparkly 
And for Lip Balm, I prefer blistex spf 15 fruit smoothie lip balms. I put it on before I go to bed, and BAM. No more dryness, or peeling ( I have a habit of picking at my lips ). But I recently ran out of it so I gotta get more -. -

Lip Balm is just my favourite! I just adore EOS and Baby Lips! I put them on before I go to sleep, when I wake up, My lips look a lot more soft fuller!

I use all 3. First, I apply lip balm for moisture,lip stick for color,(light colors)and finally a brighter lip gloss for gloss, and voila! The perfect lips.

I had a chocolate one and my friend had a reeses pieces butter cup one and I did what u did every time I put it (I did it for 5 minutes then u got board) and my friend took a bite out of hers. it was weird

Hey my DAH-ling fashionistas. I would personal pick lip balm AND lip gloss. Not lipstick, at least not until your like, 15. I recommend either Burt’s Bees or EOS lip balm. For lipgloss, well, there is a gazillion brands of lip gloss but I highly recommend Sephora Lip Gloss or Bath and Body Works lip gloss. Well better go my dears. Don’t Forget To Smile

P.S. Have you girls ever tried Earl Grey Tea? It simply divine! If you go a sweet tooth like me, I like putting a hint of honey in mine or if you don’t like honey, trie Sweet n’ Low. like em all! Ive had at least one of each-especially lip balm. Truth is, I’m kinda young for makeup- all I have is some old eyeshadow. I would really suggest a tinted lip balm like baby lips! I’ve had the pink punch one, and I am currently using Strike a Rose from the electro collection! Maybelline also recently came out with the Baby Lips Dr. Rescue line with the average clear lip balm and other soft colors

I like all of them! This feels like something you just can’t choose on.
I like lip balm to moisturize anytime I want a natural look, or before I apply lipstick that is not balmy or moisturizing. I also use lipgloss over matte lipsticks if I want my lips to be shinier. And lipstick gives a bright pop of color to your look!

I love my sweetmint eos lip balm. I also wear some clear flavored lip gloss from bath & body works on top. For very special occasions, I sometimes wear a subtle lipstick. My mom doesn’t really have makeup rules, because we both know that I am more of a natural style girl, but she is totally okay if I wear some thin eyeliner or some sparkly lipgloss.
I wore Black Lipstick for my Halloween Costume (well, part of it) 2 years ago!
Never tried lip stick. love lip balm because it protects.I love lip gloss beacuse its not that much. but again, im not a makeup person.

I personally like lip balm.
Here is why:
1) It moisturizes your lips
2) If you put on enough it is like moisturizing lip gloss
3) sometimes it has colors
4) I cant wear lip stick so that is my lip stick
I really like lip gloss but sometimes it doesn’t feel right on my mouth. Also like I said lip stick is pretty but I cant have it so lip balm is my lip stick. But my only prob with lip balm is that after it is done moisturizing it makes you need more. (its a fact!) They put a certain thing in lip balm that when the balm is on your lips they are refreshed. But once it wears down your lips dry up. But, WHATEVER!!!!
I can’t wear lip stick. But I’m allowed to have clear lip gloss. My fave flavor and brand are Red Velvet and Lip Smacker! <3 You're going to think I'm crazy but I have 87 of them. No joke, really! But they really help my lips so.. well, I keep getting them!
