One of the hottest trends this fall/winter is LACE. And what better time to talk about this oh-so-special material than just before New Year’s Eve when it’s all about going glam, right??

But the cool thing about lace is that you don’t have to wait until a special occasion to wear it. Here are some tips for experimenting with lace in your wardrobe.

1. Think subtle hints. If you’re nervous about going all-out with a lacy top or dress, you can still have fun with this look by choosing garments with hints of lace, like a lacy sleeve or hem. Check out the FPgirl lace underlayers as an example!

2. Think accessories. From lacy scarves, to lacy gloves, to lacy adornments on hats, there are many ways to add lacy embellishments to your wardrobe.

3. Think one “main” lacy piece and let it be the star attraction. So, for example, if you have a lacy top, consider pairing it with a solid colored skirt or pant. In other words, you’d *probably* want to avoid wearing plaid pants and a lacy top together, since both would be screaming for attention. Ditto with your accessories. Let your lace garment be the star of the show.
