At school I’m very quiet and on my report card it says I need to participate more but I’m scared that if I answer a question and get it wrong everyone will laugh. Can you give me ideas for how to speak up a little more in class? Thanks :)

There’s nothing wrong with being wrong! You’re in school to learn… if you knew all the answers already you wouldn’t be there, right? If you’re not sure of how to find the answer don’t wait for the teacher to call on you — raise your hand and ask for more explanation!  That way you’re participating AND learning more. Awesome!

What ways do you participate in class, FPgirls? Any ideas as to how to participate more? Share your participation tips in a comment!
