We all know the right accessories can make or break an outfit, right?? Which means you got to give some thought to the purses and bags you carry, FPgirl!

Here are three questions to ask yourself…

1. Does the purse add something to the outfit, or overpower it? Remember, a purse is an accessory, and like any accessory, it should complement your look—not compete with it. Model your entire look in a mirror to get a feel for how everything works together.

2. What color effect am I going for? Purses are a great way to bring in a burst of color to an otherwise dark/neutral or simpler outfit (like t-shirt and jeans). Purses can also tie an outfit together nicely when the purse’s color coordinates with what you’re wearing.

3. What sort of activities do I have planned? Bigger bags are perfect for casual events like going to the mall or hanging out with your BFFs, while fancier events call for fancier—and smaller—purses like super cute clutches.

BTW, if you absolutely LOVEEE purses but don’t have the money to fill up your closet with tons of them, here are some awesome DIY handbags and clutches that you can make on your own. Sweeet!
