5 Beauty Products your Tweens will Love
My niece just turned 13 years old on the 14th of January. All she wanted for her birthday were (and I quote) “beauty products.” I laughed when she told me that because she reminded me of ME at that age. As much as I loved beauty products then and love them even more now… I wanted to get my niece beauty products that wouldn’t cover her beautiful face. I feel that at 13 years old, we (the moms and aunties and friends) have the power to share and show the tweens in our life just how beautiful they are… and that makeup is JUST for fun, not to MAKE someone beautiful.
So… I had some fun putting together a beauty product basket for her! I filled it with wonderful items, but with beauty items I felt were tween appropriate.
Here are 5 Beauty Products your Tweens will Love:
1) Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil -

I love this for tweens because it’s 100% natural. This works beautifully moisturizing your lips and even gives them a little color.
2) Essie LuxeEffects Nail Collection -

I LOVE the glitz and the glam of these colors. They dazzle and are just FUN. I am so in love with these colors and they can even share with mom, too!
3) MAKE UP FOR EVER Glitters -

I love a little sparkle! Girls don’t need tons of foundation or bronzer, but it’s fun to kick it up a notch with some glitter FUN!!!
4) Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo -

I am obsessed with Dry Shampoo for hair! I love this for tweens because it’s a fun way to play with hair and product!
5) COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume Mascara -

OK… let them have a little fun with mascara! This is for FUN and for a little glitz and glam!!!!

Remember Audrey, the introduction of make up also means the introduction of bacteria. Be sure your niece has a great skin care cleansing routine before you introduce make up or trouble will come calling. We recommend starting Good For You Girls all natural skincare at least 3 months before girls start to use make up. This way they are used to the process of taking care of their skin. Also, when your skin is clean and healthy there is less desire to cover it up. http://www.goodforyougirls.com
