5 Things Every Tween Mom Should Know

Tweens nowadays are tech savvy, fashion forward and (VERY) in-the-know (INSTANTLY) on all things pop culture.

When I was with my nieces this past weekend, they thought it would be fun to quiz me and my sister-in-laws (their moms) on some “tween questions.”

I have to say… we didn’t “fail” on all the questions, but it opened my eyes a bit to “their” world. I thought it would be fun to start a regular column about “5 Things Every Tween Mom Should Know”… (to prepare all the moms and dads out there!).

So are you ready!?

1. You should be able to name all of the One Direction guys.

2. You should (absolutely) know the definition of a Twitter hashtag.

The # symbol, called a hashtag, is used to mark keywords or topics in a Tweet. It was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages. (According to support.twitter.com)

5. You should know what they mean when they say the word, “Instagram.”

Instagram is an online photo-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as media sites including Facebook or Twitter.
