It’s the winter. It’s cold. It’s chilly. It’s not-so-much fun being outside 100% of the time.

Here’s the *parent* dilemma - what kind of winter activities can you be doing with your tweens (indoors)?

You want to keep them busy. You want to keep them active. You want to keep them happy. You want to keep them (maybe) OFF electronic devices throughout the week.

What’s a parent to do?

I recently shared this question with my local mom group and we all came up with ideas that we could do with our kids throughout the winter months. Activities after school are important because it keeps kids (and parents) on schedules. Nothing is worse than having your child rush home to the TV or video games.

Here are 15 Activities for your Tweens this Winter:

1. Bowling
2. Basketball
3. Gymnastics
4. Dance Classes
5. Music Lessons
6. Cooking Lessons
7. Swim Team/Lessons
8. Trampoline Park
9. Art Classes
10. Ice Skating
11. Computer Lessons
12. Volunteering
13. Library visit
14. Create a Reading Club/Join one
15. Intern (somewhere local)

Love to see this list grow… can you share some ideas with us? What do you think would be some great activities to get your tweens involved in after-school?
