YouTube SENSATION Mike Tompkins created his own version of “When You Wish Upon a Star” for Disney’s #DisneySide KICK-OFF! Mike does ALL the sounds in his songs, he doesn’t use any instruments.

I love this song’s message because it’s very magical and empowering… it’s teaching us all to continually make wishes and dream big. I love that Disney is the “back-drop” in this video because Disney is such a whimsical and magical place to visit with your family.

I showed my sons this video of Mike Tompkins and they were mesmerized. I told them to listen to the lyrics and watch how talented Mike is while he performs. I know something “clicked” because my 9 year old son William said to me, “Thank you for showing this to me. Can I try something like that?”

It made me smile.
