What is FashionPlaytes?

FashionPlaytes is the creator of FPgirl.com, a fun community where girls can be creative and make designs, play games, enter contests, take fun polls and quizzes, learn about a million-and-one things under the sun (like fashion), chat (in a moderated, safe environment, of course!), and share opinions about all the stuff they love.

Does it cost anything to create an account on FPgirl?

Nope — it’s completely free to join! Once you’ve made an account, you can create as many designs as you want, read lots of great content, make comments, submit articles to be published, share with friends, even enter contests — all for no cost!

Who uses FPgirl?

The games, content and conversation here at FPgirl are designed for girls ages 5-12, but everyone is welcome to join the conversation and be part of the fun!

Do you sell custom clothing?

FPgirl started out as a custom clothing website where girls designed their own clothes, which they could buy. As of March 2014, we no longer sell clothing on our site, however you can still design and play in our Design Studio!

Why won’t you be selling clothes anymore?

The girls spoke, and we listened. OK, so maybe they didn’t directly say, “Hey, we’re not really interested in buying clothes,” but at the end of the day, we could see that shopping was not the real reason girls came to FPgirl. Instead, we realized that what mattered most to them was being part of our awesome community. They love creating cool designs, sharing ideas with each other, and talking about everything under the sun. So that’s what we’ll be: a safe, fun place for tween girls to hang out!

Gift Cards

How can I purchase a gift card?

FPgirl no longer sells gift cards, as we discontinued our merchandise sales in March of 2014*. If you have purchased a gift card and have not yet redeemed it, please contact us at customercare@fashionplaytes.com.

Is your website safe?

FashionPlaytes is dedicated to providing a safe, fun and creative online experience for our young designers and our site has successfully met the requirements to participate in the PRIVO Privacy Assurance Program which is approved by the Federal Trade Commission as an authorized safe harbor under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA).

We do not permit any direct communication between the girls on our site except when an email is sent from one member to a friend or family member to share their designs, or by posting comments in our public forum, which are reviewed, approved/declined and edited for content by our panel of professional moderators. FPgirls’ identities are always protected by their unique user names. We are a tween and parent friendly company working to ensure privacy and security issues are managed correctly. What if I forget my username and/or password?

When you joined, we asked you a question that only you can answer. During login, if you select “Forget password”, we will ask for your nickname and to answer the question that you picked. If you answer correctly, you can reset your password. This will allow you to login.

How do I know my personal information is secure?

We do our best to provide you with a safe and convenient shopping experience. We have in place certain physical, electronic, contractual, and managerial safeguards to protect the security and privacy of your personal information. When you enter your personal information on our websites, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect your information as it is transmitted to us. To make sure you are accessing our secure server before you submit personal financial information, look at the lower left-hand corner of your browser. SSL is active if you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser). To double-check for security, look at the URL or location line of your browser. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from “http” to “https.” If for any reason you cannot access the secure server, or if you’re not quite comfortable shopping online at any of our websites, please feel free to place your order with us by telephone at the number listed in the last question of the Shipping section entitled “What if my question is not listed here?”

What is your Privacy Policy?

We neither sell nor share your information with outside companies or third parties. When you purchase from our online store, we collect your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, e-mail address, and credit card information.
