Social Media: What are Your Tweens Talking About and How Are We Keeping them Safe Online?

Last week in the FPgirl Style Mag, we shared a Chit Chat post, a place where the girls could just ‘hang out’ and chat, and wow, was it ever fun! The girls talked about what the weather was like where they lived (lots of snowstorms and days off school!) They quizzed each other on their favorite foods, colors, TV shows and movies. They talked about fashion, music, and they even got the moderators involved too! The comments kept coming, and they’re still coming - we’re up to just almost 600 at the time of this writing. It’s been one of our most popular posts to date!

The FPgirls are hungry for an online social community and we’re excited to offer them a safe place to communicate with like-minded girls who share the same hobbies and thoughts. FPgirl is always 100-percent moderated and we make sure your girls stay anonymous on the Style Mag. FPgirl complies with COPPA, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, to ensure that your tween can hang out in a protected environment and have fun with her online friends. To learn more about COPPA and what it means for you and the safety of your child, all parents should take the time to review the following posts:

We’re always stressing the importance of being safe online, and here’s just another way we’re driving that point home, by letting some of your tweens’ favorite Disney stars share internet safety tips too!

Great things are coming to FPgirl. Your tweens are always so excited with the monthly design contests and continuously ask when we will have a new quiz or poll up for them to answer. They want to share their thoughts and creativity and we’re giving them the perfect place to do so. So be assured that when they’re online at FPgirl, they’re being well taken care of, they’re safe, they’re being creative, and they’re having lots of fun too!
