Joining the FashionPlaytes Team - Audrey McClelland!

I’m so excited to announce that I’ve joined the FashionPlaytes team to manage The Parents Connection blog and also be a voice on their Twitter handle (@FashionPlaytes)!

I couldn’t be more excited!

I’ve been a fashion lover all of my life. When I was a little girl, I used to LOVE dressing up for any occasion. For me, it was always the best way to express my creativity. I would play in my closet all the time, creating different outfits and looks for myself. It was SO MUCH fun.

Well, it’s safe to say that the fashion-love never left me. I was the same way through high school and college… and was so in love with fashion, right out of college I moved to NYC and worked for fashion designer Donna Karan. I was in my element. I loved being in the fashion-atmosphere, I craved and I loved every single second.

When I became an auntie and a mom, my love for fashion only became enhanced.

I was able to buy clothing for all the little ones in my life… my sons (I have 4 of them - William is 8, Alex is 7, Benjamin is 6 and Henry is 4) my nieces and my nephews. And now with a little girl on the way, my daughter (due in July).

Yes, fashion has always been part of my life.

One of the most fun parts of being a fashionable mom and auntie is seeing the little ones in your life embrace and love fashion, too. And well… my nieces!? Let’s just say this… they’re following in their auntie’s footsteps! For me, it’s a blast! I’ve been able to have some fashion fun with these little ladies and truly enjoy the fashion girly world (which I’m ready for with my little lady coming in July!).

FashionPlaytes was a destination introduced to me in 2009 and I have been a fan ever since! I love how girls have the ability to design, create, connect and share with each other. It’s such an amazing outlet and I love the creativity and imagination and passion that FashionPlaytes offers and inspires to all who log right on!

I’m excited for my adventure to begin with FashionPlaytes here on The Parents Connection blog because I feel it’s important for moms and dads to stay connected and aware. As someone who has been blogging since 2006, I love how social media connects all of us and allows information and advice and tips to be shared right on our laptops and computers and mobile devices.
