Recipe of the Day: Frozen Yogurt Pops!
Ok, Ok. I know what you’re thinking: “It’s WAY too cold out to be eating ice pops!” BUT, what if you don’t live in the freezing Northeast like the team at FashionPlaytes? Maybe you live down south in Florida or further west in Texas or Arizona!? Well, for one: those people living in warm(er) are so lucky
Two: Frozen Yogurt Smoothie Pops are D-LISH no matter where you live! So, let’s get down to it. Thanks to www.kulinarykidz.com for the inspiration. Get started today, so you can have some to enjoy with the kids later!
Ingredients: (Makes 6-8) 1 banana, 2 8oz. containers of strawberry yogurt, 1 cup milk, 1/2 pint strawberries (or other berries)
Directions: 1. Clean the strawberries (or whatever berry you choose to incorporate). Peel the banana & cut it up into small pieces. 2. Put all of the fruit into a blender. 3. Add the containers of yogurt in the blender w/the fruit. Next, add the milk. 4. Blend the mixture for approx. 2 mins or until smooth to your liking. 5. To make this into a frozen popsicle, pour the smoothie into a pre-made mold or little Dixie cups. Insert a wooden popsicle stick into the middle. 6. Allow the popsicles to totally freeze for 4-6 hours. 7. When frozen, gently run the bottom of the container or cup under warm water to loosen & serve! 8. Enjoy!
