How many times has your tween rolled her eyes and uttered the words, “Mom, I’m not a kid anymore?” We’ve all been there, and Sue Sander’s book of the same title, which comes out in July (pre-order it NOW!), will help you navigate your way through tween conversations with ease.

From topics on bullying, sex, body image and puberty, when to get a Facebook, religion, mood swings and more, Mom, I’m Not a Kid Anymore, delves into all of the tween topics you can imagine having with your daughter.

Even more, what I love about Mom, I’m Not a Kid Anymore is that author Sue Sanders relates each topic in story-type prose - she shares the personal conversation she has with her daughter Lizzie, and then tells about an experience she similarly had at her own tween age and how it was different then and now. So you really get the mom and daughter perspectives! The book is engaging and intimate and really helps to solve some of the tween dilemmas that all parents will face.

Author Sue Sanders stresses the importance of being open and honest and continuing to talk with your daughter, and I’m all for that. There are a ton of conversations that will come up with your tween, and they will arrive before you know it. Be prepared by checking out these 25 conversations that Sue Sanders has navigated with her daughter Lizzie - this book is delightful, honest and entertaining, without being preachy or all-knowing. Kudos to author Sue Sanders for being brave and truthful and putting it out there, and to her adorable daughter for sharing her stories too!
