One of the best parts of summer camp is telling funny or spooky stories by the campfire! The best & well-delivered stories can engage your friends & family for the entire night, so make sure you’re prepared! Make some s’mores, grab a flashlight & read these friendly tips to make sure your story-telling skills are absolutely amazing! Happy Camp Week!

**

1. Pick a good story! Not everyone is going to think that it’s their favorite, but this shouldn’t stop you from choosing one that you personally enjoy & would therefore enjoy telling others!

2. Read, read, read! You definitely want to know your story from beginning to end. Read it through several times so that you feel comfortable repeating it to someone by heart.

3. Practice! Try telling your story to a friend or sibling. See what they’re reactions are & adjust accordingly! If they were supposed to be scared at the end of your tale - and they’re not, try adding more suspenseful pauses throughout to get their hearts racing!

4. Be confident! When everyone’s sitting around the fire & you’re getting ready to tell your story, take a deep breath & be sure of yourself! By acting confident & excited to be speaking, people will enjoy your performance that much better!

Check out these fun camp stories, if you don’t already have your own!

What’s your favorite campfire story?
