Fingerprint Flowers for Spring!
It’s time to brighten up the house & welcome SPRING! Even though you can’t smell the flowers in the air just yet, Fingerprint Flowers is a quick & fun way to keep the kids busy during these last few weeks of cold, while adding some color to any room!
(Thanks to Kaboose for the great idea!)
Things you’ll need:
- Colored construction paper
- Various colored Acrylic paints
- Green pipe-cleaners for stems
- Kid-safe scissors
- White craft glue
How to make it:
1. Take the different colored construction paper & cut out simple flower shapes or get adventurous & make some interesting ones that look like tulips or daisies! 2. Help your child dip their finger into the acrylic paint & press on each petal. Use a different finger & a different color paint for the center, so it stands out! 3. Cut the green pipe-cleaners in half & glue them to the back of the flowers. Repeat 1-3 in order to make a whole bouquet! Tie with a pretty ribbon or fill a vase of your choice!
We’re sure your younger children will love getting messy and creating these cute little flowers that will brighten up the house! Let us know how your flower-making session goes!
