Valentine’s Day Fashion (by Parker!)

Need some fashion advice for the big day? Take it from a girl who totally loves clothes, is super confident, & always rocks her own style - no matter what other people say! Listen up girls!

Hi again,

All of my friends have been asking me for the past week what they should wear for Valentines Day - without over doing it. Now, it’s time for me to tell you the secret: Don’t go ALL pink or red. Mix it up with other playful, cheery colors!

My favorite? I think light denim skinny jeans and bright Converse (green, blue, purple, pink, plaid - you get the point!) go well together for the bottom half of the outfit. Neon leg warmers or knee-high socks that can also combine with that bottom half really well! Another good bottom half pair could be a flirty, colorful skirt, with funky tights, with knee-high Converse.

For the top, I would do a pink or red top, (or any color with hearts on it) with a white, light blue, or a pink cardigan to go on top of the shirt. You can also try another pink or red top, with a classy white button up - sleeves rolled up to elbows with a cute flirty headpiece of some sort. Both tops can go with either bottom part that I mentioned before, and could definitely look good with a scarf of sparkly belt.

My point is that for Valentine’s Day, be fun, creative, unique, and mix colors!

And before I go, you know how some girls like to hang with boys, go to parties, and flirt with them on Valentine’s Day? Well… to tell you the truth, you don’t always have to do that! Personally, I like to hang with my girlfriends on Valentine’s Day and watch cheesy romantic movies and talk about who likes who, and who gave who what, and so forth. Anyway, I hope you all have a fabulous Valentine’s Day & all your wishes come true!

Wow! Another great post from Parker Joy! Even if you don’t want to wear exactly what she does, the important thing is to be creative & step outside of your comfort zone every once in a while. She’s right: V-Day doesn’t mean wearing only red & pink. Mix it up & show your true colors. Also, don’t forget that Valentine’s Day doesn’t always mean being super romantic. Like Parker, the important thing is to spend it with people you care about -hanging out with friends and/or family.
