About FashionPlaytes: (Behind the Seams!)

The idea for FashionPlaytes grew out of my own experiences as a child. When I was a little girl I would make sketches for clothes that my mom would then sew for me. It was an incredible feeling to see clothes I had imagined turn into clothes that I could wear. These days I have two little girls of my own and I want to give them, and girls everywhere, the chance to experience that same feeling of pride and accomplishment.

Fashion is all about self-expression and individuality and at FashionPlaytes we strive to provide girls with a way to express themselves and show off their creativity, not just by picking out their clothes, but by designing them themselves. Each piece in our collection is carefully designed—nothing is added to the design studio until it meets our high quality standards, feels age-appropriate for our audience, and comes in at a price that moms can afford.

We work hard to ensure that privacy and security concerns are top of mind and that our site is a safe place to explore for girls ages 5-12. Many parents collaborate with their daughters on the design process, and with more than 5 million design combinations, our design studio allows girls plenty of room for creativity. Each season we introduce new pieces to stay on-trend with what girls want and these limited edition items contribute to the sense that each garment a girl designs is truly unique.

In the coming months we’ll be adding exciting new gaming and design features to enhance the play aspects of the FashionPlaytes experience. We have big plans for the FashionPlaytes community—inspiring girls to create and explore is our passion and we love helping them experience fashion in a whole new way!
